I downloaded the "showertime" video you posted and noticed it is encoded MPEG-1/2 (older codec), whereas this video is in H264 (much more modern/common). Yes the first video plays in VLC but I am not surprised my browsers didn't like it. I suggest making sure all videos are encoded in H264, I use Handbrake.
