I'm Kenyan and this is actually Uganda our neighbour country. These are the people from the Luo ethnicity who are found in both countries. Most of us are civilized and educated and abhorr such incidents but what you need to understand is the victim here is a man and not a woman, he is punished like this because most witches do murder kids for ritual purposes and the police rarely take stern actions so it's kind of a built up frustration that results into instant mob justice.
