Canada has free healthcare and you still have to pay $40 for an ambulance.

Here in PA it cost me $1500 for the ride to the hospital. I was unconscious so I didn't have a choice either

Free healthcare sounds nice. Still where I live I pay around 150 euros a month (basic package + basic dental care) so not exactly free. Also it doesn't cover everything, depending on your "own risk" which is a certain amount you have to pay regardless when you get treated for things that are covered by your package. Still though any treatment is about 10x cheaper than in the US probably? Couldn't believe what a friend of mine had to pay in the US when his kid there had a dislocated elbow.

We get free healthcare in my country. I have never ever paid for a single thing medically related in my life. The tax that comes out wages is barely noticeable and you know it's going to something worthwhile. I hope other countries catch up.

I mean we pay 150 euro, get 100, a little bit more maybe from the government to pay the insurance and need to pay our own risk if we do need medical attention so at the most you pay your own risk if the given care is in your package if not you pay for it yourself but the prices like I said aren't anywhere near what you'd pay in the US. It's cheap healthcare here accessible for anyone unless you get into real trouble that is. If I had the choice I think I wouldn't even pay for insurance and keep the money aside but you can't do that where I live. Still suprised though how people whine about problems here all the time but the standard of living is so damn high and people living off of benefits can even comfortably do so. Alot of people don't realise how lucky they are where they were born and raised. Except for that our government now is killing our farming sector/fishing sector plus some scandals that fucked people over for life it's not so bad.
