On 14th of October, quoting The Guardian,
woman driving children to school was ordered by police to stop at a checkpoint.
“The driver didn’t obey. A gendarme opened fire and a schoolgirl was fatally wounded,” he said. “People responded by lynching the gendarme. More than 500 people came out and marched with the body [of the girl] to the governor’s office. He tried to calm people down by promising to punish” those responsible.
Victim was Caro Louise Ndialle, around 5 yo girl (one source claimed 4 yo). News say funeral took place the same day on Catholic cemetery. Incident happened in Buea (Southwest region's capital), which is a hotspot city in region which for previous 4 years was a place of conflict between anglophone separatists and government forces in the French-majority nation. That made some political significance, as people apparently didn't get 'calm down' by officials calling it 'sad and unfortunate incident'.
Some timestamps:
Beginning: girl when alive and dead in car.
1:49: girl body shown, then crowd gathering around.
2:08: WTF moment with naked woman checking the body.
Then the protests/march beginning.
3:08: photos, then start of officer's lynch part. Around 4:00 parts with the beating begin, but there's no any especially brutal moment there.
