These nonce hunters are never professional. They have pent up anger and want to lash out on someone, so they find targets they can abuse without repercussions.

They should find the nonces, expose the nonces, and ensure the police are provided with as much evidence as possible to secure a conviction.

What they shouldn't do is punch a man in the head who has slit his throat, then call him a dirty pervert. All that does is hurt the odds that the nonce receives the appropriate judiciary punishment. Many nonces get off free (besides the video being public) on the basis of nonce hunters being unprofessional.

I have no sympathy for nonces, but this isn't Brazil or South Sudan. We're meant to be better than this.

define: Find target. Are you suggesting these 'nonce hunters' confront individuals based on their stature, or demeanour?

2nd point is valid; however I believe general public in Western countries are losing confident in western moral policing, resources, and presence. Which leads to a more moral lynching of the victim as seen in this video. You want an extreme version then search on the site.

3rd point: I am interested in this as I do not know the statistics myself. Do you have sources for your claims?

I acknowledge you drew the similarities to Brazil, or..

I said “they find targets they can abuse without repercussion” and meant that because they're targeting nonces, they can say what they want, and even assault them, without consequence.

Evidence is not admissible in court all the time because the nonce hunters wind the nonces up too much. Bringing out plain-clothed men who corner a nonce and insult them, tell them they're not going anywhere, and physically not allowing them to leave, opens up a defense that anything the nonce says could have been said under duress. Same thing happens when the police get too pushy. That's why the police have to deal with things according to proper protocols.

Nonce hunters would do a better job if they acted more professional. They would get better conviction rates. But they're not concerned about that. They just want to bully people and put on a show for people to watch. It's like the Jeremy Kyle show lol

Yep, I agree they would be better more professional.

However what is on video at the time of the encounter does not alter the evidence they have gained through private chats/video calls etc, right?

I think we are in agreement though, it is time to put an end to the nonces once and for all.

Yeah, ofc it doesn't change the evidence they got previously, but their conduct can hurt the video evidence, which is usually what matters most.

I would disagree with that. I would say the months of evidence built up on them whilst the undercovers have been posing as children, is what gets them in trouble.

Depends on the case. Ofc if it's months and months of e-chatting that'll matter more. But many of the nonces go to meet “them” after a few messages. At which point a confession not under duress will mean a lot more.
