People get used to it, strangely. I know a coroner and I upkeep the hvac at 2 funeral homes. Dude will literally be embalming a corpse and talking on the phone about what hes getting for dinner.

It's probably not the first time he's prepared a human corpse. Heck, he'd probably be good to have around if you need to burn some zombie remains.
But seriously, depending on your outlook, this might not be as disturbing as us westerners, the "civilized" people of the world, would think. It wasn't that long ago that we ourselves used live death and gore as fucking entertainment; THAT is disturbing. This is little more than a funeral rite.

in their religious belief once a person dies their spirit leaves their body and finds a new host. after death the body is just an empty vessel for them, so it's literally worthless to them. Not surprising they don't really care about it.
