Just for some context.
This happened to a traveller girl from County Fermanagh. She was actually 13 at the time of the attack. She jumped on an 11 month old baby to protect the baby from a machete attack.
The girl was part of a family of “travellers”; an ethnic group in Ireland that the rest of the country fucking despises.
Their families always fight with each other and post videos online talking shit about the other family. It’s really cringe and really dumb.
They can’t speak properly, they steal from the normal Irish community, they set up caravans in other peoples property because they believe they own the land, they commit countless crimes against the rest of the Irish population and they’re all too fucking stupid to even know they’re doing anything wrong.
They are the Irish equivalent of American trailer trash, but somehow are actually worse.
I’m generally very accepting of people, but fuck me, I wish this disgusting community would burn to the ground

The knackers aren't liked anywhere in Ireland. They're as hated as junkies are but at least junkies have the chance of getting better, and were decent people once. Junkies might steal and rob and all that, but there's a reason for that. Knackers do it because it's part of their culture.
