Its from a completely different incident and these two have been stitched together multiple times after it was uploaded to Eyeblech on Reddit under the same misinfo. I wish people would stop posting false incidents or at least verify sources before posting shit as truth.
The aftermath photos I'm 90% are from a different video involving a drunk party where a dude held a firework up in the air and it blew his hand into a V shape but he was so inebriated he didnt really react or care.

I can’t speak for an explosion but when I shot myself in the eye with a BB gun by accident while trying to make a pump shoot multiple pellets there was like 30 seconds of shock and pain it looked like I had just looked at the sun or a welding arc I tried to chuckle and walk it off but once the blood filled up my eye and I went blind the panic set in and the adrenaline took over the pain for the rest of the day.
Yes I was a retard. Recovered with 20/16 vision in the eye. Which is like better than 20/20 ironically. There is forever a tear in my iris that lets extra light into that eye. When I look at white objects on a bright day or lights there’s a bit of a prismatic effect. Anyway. I learned a valuable lesson and got off easy. In fact, going to the opthamologist so frequently during recovery led to the discovery of a degenerative disorder called kerataconus in my OTHER eye. Which I was able to get a procedure to stop in its tracks earlier before it took my vision fully. Anyway. Don’t be a retard kids!
