It seems I’ve seen this video before on YouTube (of all places) quite a few years back. I remember seeing an extended version of this video that started off with some other guy explaining to the crowd what was about to happen to the man by quoting the Quran on what happens to people when they steal. I don’t know any Arabic, but the video had English subtitles during that part. Based on all of that, it seems this man got his hand chopped off just for being a petty thief.
