The incident occurred on Sunday 16th, in the town of Barrinha, in Carinhanha, Bahia.
The young victim, was named as Carlos Augusto de Oliveira, aged thirty years old, was stabbed in the guts by his stepfather during an argument, exposing his stepson's intestines before fleeing the scene. The shocked and still conscious man, was able to ring for help and aid. Samu swiftly arrived and the male was rushed to the General Hospital of Guanambi (HGG), where he underwent an emergency surgical procedure. He had remained conscious throughout until he was anesthetized.
Carlos now undergoes follow-up at the CAPS in Carinhanha and is recovering well. His stepfather, name not released still has not been located. Police are still looking for leads of his whereabouts.
