It is not legally binding so it does not matter, this idea that doctor have some kind of authority to the Hippocratic oath and that it has some magical power outweighing the modern laws or tort is untrue. As someone has said the law here is in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act for USA

I had a friend who's mom was a nurse and she really took the Hippocratic oath serious 😂 She was in the ER for a few years and sometimes at dinner she would slip up and tell us some crazy shit she seen at work
