The point they might be trying to say is that "diet" coke is really unhealthy for you.
Drinking diet coke will make you GAIN weight.
Aside from the fact that most chemicals that have been used in the past in diet pop have been found to cause cancer or all sorts of other harms, the strange things about our bodies is they are smart enough to know that when we drink diet coke, our body expects to receive sugar in the coke, and when our body doesn't receive the sugar it expects, we end up eating MORE crappy food to find this sugar elsewhere in our diet.
Diet coke makes us eat more and crave more food.
