So, no one is really sure what's the deal with bod bodies (bogbods?) Either in WHY they're in a bog or HOW exactly the bog preserved them so much.the idea of them being homosexuals punished with death, or human sacrifice victims has been questioned by recent research (they're buried with valuable items, personal stuff, only signs of violence in some cases is suicide). newer logic in research says "if they found out the bog preserved them so well, they must have used it as a sacred spot for valuable community members". Also there's no sure document which says those socities practiced death penalties or ritual human sacrifice.
