Likely a stroke of some sort, as mentioned. Either a hemorrhagic stroke (a large ruptured blood vessel supplying blood/oxygen to a significant portion of the brain) or an non-hemorrhagic stroke in which the blood vessel becomes infarcted/blocked by a blood clot (a thromboembolism) essentially causing the same effects. The brain tissue becomes immediately oxygen deprived (hypoxic and infarcted). Major sign and symptom is a feeling of the worst headache you’ve ever had, followed by deficits which can include confusion, paralysis, among other things. If this was a stroke, it was pretty massive.
It could’ve also been a ruptured thoracic or abdominal aortic aneurysm, which can essentially cause the same reaction. But we definitely don’t know for certain unless a medical examiner performed a thorough autopsy.
If I was a betting man, I’d put money on the massive strike idea due to the rapid deterioration and almost immediate loss of consciousness.
