I found my uncle in this condition approx 6 days after he passed. He lived upstairs from me and I believe I heard him when he died. I heard him coughing real bad and looked up at the ceiling saying, have another cigarette. All activity on his phone and PlayStation and Xbox were off at about that time. I worked 5, 12hr shifts in row and his sleep schedule was opposite of my work schedule. It wasn't til I realized it was our time to grocery shop that I realized something wasn't right. I went into his place and he was laying on his couch, bloated with his arms extended.

One thing to note is Easter Sunday (the 5th day he'd have been dead upstairs, I was sleeping and woke up to my bifold closet door opening and a shadow figure standing inside though I have shelves in there so nobody can stand there. I put the blanket over my head and went back to sleep.

I'm too autistic to know if this is a joke or not, but if it's not, I'm sorry for your loss and hope you've been able to heal from witnessing a family member in this state. Wishing you the best
