Then the issue is that if someone is getting beat up in the video it has to either go under music or discussion if not social. There's no tag for that if social is intended for pets.

maybe i should make a post regarding what content is meant for social hmmm. I've asked the devs to add a description text but they haven't gotten around to it. Social is supposed to be for community stuff, not shock or violence related.

I understand the issue at hand and I think a post about it is a good idea. Just tried to explain the perspective why it's not so easy to just block social currently. With other tags it works perfectly. Thank you very much for caring for the community I appreciate it.

no worries, i can see how its an issue since i think social has kinda just become more of a "misc" type flair when in reality it wasnt really supposed to be that. I'll try to move some posts from that flair tonight.

We could theoretically have a hole for "violence" or something like that but the point of the site is to host death videos aka the content that gets removed on other platforms. Social is just exactly what it sounds like. Personally I'm all for it. People come here for the death content that can't be found many other places and it makes sense that anything beyond that would be opt-in.

I fully agree. The issue is more that violence is currently at least partially under social. It might be a communication issue or some other problem but it means that many people don't want to block social but now get flooded with cats and dogs people can post on Facebook.

I actually meant for people to post their pets inside that single thread but I inadvertently started a trend. Trends like this tend to pass pretty quickly. Hopefully soon we can get things set up in a way that makes a little more sense.
