As much as there is death and violence on this site, condoning and encouraging death and violence is against the rules. Which would theoretically include self-harm. Those who do such a thing should seek help, because it really isn't okay. It doesn't matter if one can simply "block it", because the point is that a lot of users still don't, and people shouldn't have a reason to post their self-harm footage on here.
This site is meant more for documentation and archival purposes. I know a lot of you folks joke around and shit, and banter with one another, which you know, whatever... internet's gonna do what the internet's gonna do... but if we can be serious for a moment, we're all still human beings and I think it's important that we don't forget that at the end of the day. Mental health is very much a real thing that exists.
I'm sure plenty of people probably hate me for having a heart lol, but I don't really care. I want to do the best I can to provide a more at least half-ass positive influence on this site.

Well, to be fair, it's (self harm content) on the gore section rather than the death section. And self-harm does count as gore. So while I see what you're saying, it doesn't hold much validity since theres normal gore on this site aswell as death content

It's a gore site dude. I've been watching gore since I was 13 years old and I became immune to vanilla gore. Self harm is one of the only categories where I can still be shocked today, I would be pretty sad if it were to vanish.
Plus people are dumb enough to do it and post it online, why don't we give them the echo chamber they want ?
