Hello! I have a few edits of various shooters (Not the ones where 
you just overlay a clip with an audio, im talking about an actual edit) and ive been seeing mixed 
answers on if its allowed or not. And if it is allowed, would 
it be in social 
or compilation? Theres no gore in them since i used to post to reddit 
or tiktok. Sorry 
if this is a stupid 
question!

If it's a compilation of death it goes in /h/compilation. No death and no gore it goes in /h/social. No death and yes gore it goes in /h/gore. If it's an edit of a single shooter killing people then it goes in /h/shooting. Etc. If there's no gore OR visible death so you can post them on mainstream sites then we may not want them, but if we did it would be /h/social (if they're otherwise well made).
Mostly it's edits of a single shooter that merely has some music overlaid and some quick cuts we don't like. If you've put actual effort and effects into it then it's probably fine.

There are so many shit edits on this site that I wouldn't bother. I never look at them. They are a waste of everyone's time.
Make something original ffs and I'm not talking gore either.
Go to film school and make horror movies if you want to make something to be somewhat proud of. Or keep fucking around with shitty apps and footage that's been reused a million times.
Choice is yours. If you actually want genuine attention and respect, maybe you'll learn to take a hint. If you even have to ask, maybe you already know, in this case.

Thats actually my goal! Ive been wanting to make a horror series (Cant decide between slenderverse stuff, zero day sorta thing, or something else. I just know i want it to be found footage) and i have the supplies for it, im just not combatable with people so i doubt ill find anyone willing to be an actor for another 3 years. I could in theory stop being a whiney bitch when it comes to things and just do it solo, and stop having a fear of cameras. We'll see in time if it actually happens

If it's multiple different events, different shooters, then maybe /Compilation.
Edits are allowed - BUT - most people here usually hate them.
Take some time looking back at what people have posted - and you'll find the votes often have more negatives, and some of the comments will be about how stupid the video is.
