Why should you wear a helmet?
Wearing a helmet is essential when bike riding and skating as it protects your head from injury. By wearing a helmet you significantly reduce your risk of brain damage when you take a tumble, while it will not eliminate this, it can lower the severity of the injury as the helmet is taking most of the impact as opposed to your head. If the impact is severe enough, you risk some serious brain damage or even death. So, wear a helmet, you're not invincible.

Why should you wear safety gear?
Properly equipping yourself with items like helmets, shin/elbow pads, thick clothing, etc. will significantly reduce the impact received when you fall off a bike, skateboard, skates, scooters, etc. They can reduce the risk of injuries such as a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament), broken elbow, road burn, or a cracked skull.

I watched the first x number of videos and me thinking ‘damn these idiots need to wear a helmet'. Cue the Wicked video where the guy does a jump on a scooter wearing a helmet and joint pads and still gets fucked. I'm out. I feel so bad for all these dudes, just trying to live a little and end up with lifelong injuries.

LOL the third one down, the man dropping into a ramp and knocking himself out was fucking hilarious. Absolutely zero effort to break his fall, didn't even make a futile arm adjustment last second. He fell into that solid floor like an experienced diver gracefully falls into water, strategically not bracing for impact for added effect.
What a thing to see, a full grown man who's not experienced at skating, has zero coordination at falling is too cool for a helmet. Its already lame when 13 year olds are 3 kewl 4 helmets but at least they have the excuse of their age making them biologically retarded. At that age you should be able to show up to a skatepark with long white socks, a good belt, knee pads and a helmet without giving a singular fuck.
