She would have never gotten caught, if firstly, she had deleted the vid off her phone (she was drunk and forgot she video), secondly, if she hadn't called the police. I'm pretty sure that she just wanted to teach him a lesson for cheating but cuz she was drunk, she decided to go to bed and when she woke up she realised she killed him.

Ye, they might have. But there's no evidence that she did do it. Aslong as she doesn't slip up on her alibi. And she could have dumped the body somewhere, or put it in acid. So many possibilites, cuz lets be real, the police aren't gona come looking for him until after a few days.
