A woman strangled to death while sleeping on the pavement in Indore. A man first strangled the woman and then bashed her head with a rock in the wee hours of Thursday. The incident was caught on CCTV camera. The video shows him sitting next to the woman, contemplating, as she sleeps. He paces up and down, gets a rope and stands undecided for a long time before throwing it around her neck and garroting her. The woman is yet unnamed. Police haven’t been able to identify the killer, either, and aren’t sure why she was murdered. She is seen sleeping peacefully as the killer paces around her, sometimes sitting next to her, until he grabs her and yanks her out of her sleep. Police are clueless about the motive. 'Our investigation has revealed that she had picked up a fight with another woman in the area,' said Sanyogitaganj police station in-charge Rajeev Tripathi. Whether it is linked to the murder isn’t known yet.
