Super Typhoon "Nanmadol".
It is claimed that no typhoon of this type has made landfall in Japan since 1951!
It has since moved out into the Pacific Ocean after battering Japan, killing four people, injuring over 100, and leaving thousands of homes without power.

Looks like what we get three or four times a year here in New England haha. Welcome to the south shore. And also the same thing in Reykjavík. I’ve seen roofs get peeled off of hotels downtown like sardine cans, and cars get yeeted into the ocean there more times than I can begin to count.
