Was leaving work when i saw a mother duck with 10 chicks on the turning lane for a freeway entrance. The people in front of my car ran over the mom and 2 of the ducklings so i ran out of my car to grab the ones i could. Was able to get all the surviving ducklings and they will be headed to my local wildlife rescue tomorrow morning.
I blocked traffic lanes and ran around without shoes on to get these guys. Im filled with rage for the ones who were turned to red paste :(

Uh...
At first, I was kinda bleh about you capturing true wildlife. It's kinda immoral, due to how easily you can feed it the wrong thing or something and easily kill it.
On the other hand, their mother is dead, as you say, so they don't have much of a choice. Your way or the highway.
Something about that duckling chilling between those blankets really made me trust you, tho.

Tbh they would of gone to the rescue today but it was closed by the time the whole ordeal was done. I have several animals and have hand raised parrots but never owned ducks so i was also worried. Sadly mom was hella dead :( i walked along the sides of the highway by a canal for 30 minutes but didnt see dad duck anywhere im guessing she was alone.
I hope these guys make it! Ill be leaving some cash with them when i drop them off to help with any needed supplies but they should be fine
