Jason Jones, 29, allegedly stormed into the police station on Oct. 30 and kicked off an argument with officers in the lobby, according to authorities.
More than six weeks after the incident, he died in a hospital, according to New York Attorney General Letitia James.

I don't think that is a thing, there's smoke and particle inhalation sure. But you aren't going to inhale flames that burn your insides up, and even if you did whatever damage that caused would theoretically kill you a lot faster than 6 weeks.

You can 100% inhale flame that will then burn your esophagus and lungs from the inside. Especially if your head, face or mouth is covered in an inhaleable substance. Such as any liquid or even gaseous accelerant .
Edit: that's actually how those "flane eater" people die in accidents sometimes. They inhale the flame and torch their insides.
