Breaking a door down for obstruction of justice seems a bit excessive

Maybe excessive but still justified given the circumstances under the exigent circumstances exception.

It wouldn't seem to me that giving a false name and date of birth constitutes an emergency situation that warrants entry, additionally there is no indication of destruction of evidence nor is the suspect attempting to flee or escape. Perhaps you can shed some legal wisdom on how the situation qualifies as exigent circumstances.

He was fleeing, if you read the article, which you clearly haven't, you'd know that as soon as he gave the cop a fake name and DOB, he booked it out of his job at McDonalds, without notifying his boss, and fled to his house, presumably because he thought he'd be safe there…. He wasn't.

Not sure what article you're referring to since I don't see a link to an article posted by the video, so you're correct: I clearly did not read "the article."

Maybe he should have radioed for another cop to help surround the mobile home.

You're absolutely correct. In terms of tactics, it was an absolute shitshow. I'm not sure who it was, but somebody linked an article to the news story. It's a good read!
