We don't know how badly hurt he is when this footage begins. There's a lot of cops on the scene, so that would indicate that at least 3-5 minutes went by since the attack began. The victim is a skinny fella, the attacker is a berserk maniac with a knife- struggling for minutes with someone who is stabbing you will drain your energy like nothing else. Throw in some blood loss and shock, and you're not doing much.
Victim appears to be stabbed pretty badly, based on the blood pooling beneath him. He fought until he couldn't anymore, and then the cops showed up.

Nah, you can see it pooling beneath the stabbed man before the cops do any shooting. He's hurt bad, probably bleeding internally as well.
