The cops in the elevator were VERY lucky he wasn't REALLY trying to kill them.

If his intent was to actually murder a cop, he could have stabbed the first cop he stabbed - he could have stabbed that one in the neck, and he clearly wasn't trying to kill the cops in the elevator - he didn't even really stab them, that I could see.

I think he wanted suicide by cop - or he was SO PSYCHOTIC that he didn't know the consequences of his actions.

And for those people watching the video - you can now see just HOW LONG it takes for a cop to realize they need to draw their gun - half a second, and then another half second to actually draw it and shoot.

While watching the video - it seemed to take the cops forever - and the guy could easily have stabbed one cop in the elevator in the neck - fatally, if he really wanted to.

I can't believe they didnt try to de-esculate the situation first. Easily coulda done a flying leg take town or offered the guy a bag of chips and a chat about his emotions. Support social services. Ban the police. #murderers
