I don't know why people in the US just don't give in to these police approaches. They'd rather lose their lives! I still watch videos of North American police officers and I don't understand why people react

I think they live in this alternate reality where they tell their ghetto friends how tough they are and how they will not surrender. Look up "lackin' challenge" that will show you the culture I'm talking about. You can't expect a teen who grew up with the option to either be a thief or a gangster rapper to see the world from the perspective of a "normal" person.

That's true, but it's still stupid. These people know they are going to die, and yet they react. I think: why not turn yourself in, serve a few years in jail, and when you get out of prison, if you want to go back to doing what you used to do, then that's all right. I think that reacting to the police approach is neither smart nor tough. It just shows how dumb these guys are.

Our impression is skewed by the videos we see here. Prisons are full of young black offenders. And after they get out they have more "street cred" because they served with whatever big guy was in that jail. They have learned more about life as a thug, too. So they won't go breaking into houses anymore. They move up the ladder to weapons, drugs, extortion etc. if they are good. Only the little losers get taken out by the cops.
