I’d hate to say it but shit what else do you expect a cop to do when someone goes to draw a concealed firearm right in front of them? You can sit there and negotiate all day but as soon as he reaches for that shit as a cop your hand is just forced at that point. What do you want me to do? Stand there and do nothing and potentially let a homeless guy run me down? And don’t even bring up the fact the gun is a pellet gun because there is no way to reliably know that.

I fucking hate the way that "civilized" countries treat violent criminals so nicely. They have more fucking rights than the people they victimize. Cops have been declawed because they're so terrified about public perception, so they'll spend hours trying to "de-escalate" with a fucking lunatic who wants nothing but violence.
It's like, you're expected to be a fucking mind-reader. Like, these cops are supposed to know that the guy won't actually do anything, and that his gun is a prop. In NYC, these days, you're not even allowed to defend yourself from an armed attacker until after they've already shot you three times, or stabbed you thirteen times; only then are you allowed to retaliate with force.

Tasers aren't always going to work, most of the time they don't even activate properly, less lethal options like bean bag guns don't always work either. If you're really mad at the police for shooting a guy when the dude they shot pointed a gun at them, then i cant really help you.

Tasers fail roughly 2/3 of the time they are deployed. That's fucking awful odds to gamble your life on, I think anyone would agree. And we have tons of videos of seeing crazed morons getting shot with bean bag rounds half a dozen times, and then immediately charging with their knife or w/e.
This is really simple, and I never understood how so many people don't seem to understand this concept: "Bad guys" use however much force they feel like. If they feel like shooting someone, they'll pull a gun. "Good guys" have to match and then slightly escalate the amount of force they use against the crazed retard, and good guys also are at a constant disadvantage, as the "bad guy" gets to dictate how violent shit is going to get. So, if the crazed guy has a weapon, it's immediately a life-death situation. Tasing someone who has a gun is probably the last thing you'll do before being shot.
