I realize people here like to clown on/hate the police, and deservedly so a lot of the time, but they're just normal people at the end of the day. That officer didn't go to work wanting to kill this man or possibly get killed by some dude wielding fucking sai. He's a just a normal guy.

"Well he didn't have to kill that guy" or "Why didn't he just tase him" or "Why not shoot him in the leg". The man did everything he could and proved that sometimes the bad guys in these situations just don't want to be saved, that Tasers are the most useless tool in an officer's arsenal, and that when someone is hoped up on drugs or adrenaline they can tank A LOT of damage before going down. Just try to be a bit more sympathetic. I know it's hard when a lot of people haven't even seen real grass in years, but a lot of cops are just decent folks doing a job.
