Kim carlsson is the lead singer and cofounder of the Swedish band, βlifeloverβ and a few other musical projects. Heavy to note, lifelover. Formed in 2005, it became a band that has inspired many artists, and many bands attempted to recreate what lifelover had. Kim Carlsson became known for self mutilating and bleeding on stage.

DSBM
Lifelover is a DSBM (Depressive suicidal black metal) band that emphasizes emotions, a lot of desperate sounding vocals, it was a very emotion based release in music. Melancholic and revolve around solitude, grief, and depression. Many of the DSBM bands have been known for their very obviously depressing music, but another thing, they also often revolve around selfharm or suicide. Many DSBM bands have selfharm related lyrics, album covers, or even selfharmed on stage.
