Because it's underage users that do this type of shit. Adults don't cut themselves, if they do they're severely mentally ill, or strung the fuck out. A fully developed brain doesnt resort to self harm as a means of coping. It's a juvenile brain that sees it as a way to get attention.
Not only that, but my previous interactions with them and their responses to me scream that they're too young to be here.

The brain fully develops at the age of 25, the prefrontal cortex is the part of the brain that's responsible for rational decision making. Meaning that a properly functioning brain doesn't make its body hurt itself. The majority of self harm is done by preteens and teens.
