I’m not entirely sure of the background on this video but it’s one of my favorite self-harm videos so I thought why the hell not upload it here? If you want my guess: it’s either a pathetic suicide attempt or simply someone taking out their emotional baggage using box cutters.
I think the pathetic suicide attempt one is higher in probability as it’s obviously a girl by the cute sobbing and women attempt suicide 5x more than men do because they choose less lethal methods (like silting of the wrist.) according to Geo Stone Suicide And Attempted Suicide cut/stab (also cutting of the wrist) is placed on 11th for fatality (which only “other” is lower than) and the seriousness of result is 2.60 and with a total of 561 attempters only 23 actually died.
I also believe it’s probably a pathetic suicide attempt as her arm looks very clean if she had self-harmed in the past it’s unlikely her arm would be so nice looking.

We all know cutting side to side is not the way to do it. Yeah, a lot of blood may come out, but, the way to do it, as far as not much pain, is by a helium tank, bag over head and a hose connected. I got help, but I went back to heavy drinking and can't stop. Maybe one day I'll snap out of this depression phase.

Doesn't look like a serious suicide attempt due to the direction of the cut also.

Maybe, depends if she stopped or carried on with the cutting. If left and no one stops her or she doesn't seek aid, there is a chance through blood loss, but it would be quite slow and drawn out due to the smallness of incision/s.

I sh and my arms look ok. My forearms are clean. But yeah this is a terrible way to try to kill yourself it doesn't do anything and you'll probably just need stitches or correctional surgery for the tendon. My dad did this to a greater extent. You could see fat and everything but hes still here and has officially traumatized me to the point that nothing fazes me... except spiders.

If someone really wants to kill themselves
they will make sure that it's not an "attempt"
and actually take LETHAL measures to ensure that they end their life.
This Video is just "self harm" albeit gruesome,
I think that this person realizes with a decent amount of certainty that not only will she survive,
but she will get immediate attention.
She is definitely mentally ill and "suicidal"
but she knows that this isn't going to be the
thing that ends it.
