[Self-Harm Warning] Girl Ripping Bits Out Of Her Arm

I don't understand the reason behind brutal self-harm like this... :marseygasp:

Has anyone experienced something like that or do you know why many people (and mostly women, it seems) do this to themselves?

Edit: Removed "Mental-Illness" from the title, because I thought it was a bit insensitive.

Edit2: I put a self-harm warning in front, so people triggered by that content can skip it.

Ex-selfharmer here, I can say that for me cutting into fat didn't hurt much (less nerves I guess?). Maybe it's a weight/ body image issue for her idk. Maybe she isn't getting enough attention so that's why she posted this here? She needs stitches and people in her life to care about her more, that'll probably fuck up her arm movement. Clearly some extreme self hatred here

The bean like things are fat btw I've pulled some out with tweezers before just cus I heard about other people doing it and I felt like mine wasn't good enough because this shit gets competitive and pretty stupid quickly. That white stuff is probably fascia which is the thin layer between muscle and fat

Still can't fully understand why she would record it, like I said above probably some severe emotional neglect going on in her life but she's really the only one who knows.

Tbh i can't stand people showing off their self harm. I can't get over the fact they love the negative attention and to play some type of victim that goes "oh look at me and what i did to myself, please pitty me"

I could be wrong but i'm just allergic to it all together.

Yeah me too it's from attention depravation and for that I can have some sympathy but it's just fucking annoying and makes everyone look bad whether they're trying to recover or just someone who "looks like they'd cut" it's fucked up
