I don't understand the reason behind brutal self-harm like this... 
Has anyone experienced something like that or do you know why many people (and mostly women, it seems) do this to themselves?
Edit: Removed "Mental-Illness" from the title, because I thought it was a bit insensitive.
Edit2: I put a self-harm warning in front, so people triggered by that content can skip it.

For me I've been doing it over half my life but only got "worse" in like the last three years. I'm just a piece of shit and self harm is the only weapon I have against myself cause I've so far been too scared to off myself. It's a bit diff for me cause I'm fat af so I can go deeper before hitting vital stuff so it's a bit "less serious".
