I find that homeless people and the unfortunate are more likely to be the nicest people, but this guy was a true hero.

A large potion of those types of people are victims of circumstance, not all of them are down and out because they are lazy or so addicted they willingly let their life crumble away as long as that next hit is around the corner. Fall into that hole and if you don't have a support system to give you a hand your probably going to stay there. Some of those people literally live off the kindness of others, without resorting to theft its not up to them whether or not they get to eat today.
