Police respond to bus robbery and kill alleged thief in Manaus, Brazil

A man, still unidentified, died after being shot after allegedly trying to rob a bus on line 600, in the Coroado neighborhood, East Zone of the city of Manaus.

According to information provided by the Military Police, there was a Military Policeman on the bus and when they noticed the agent's presence, one of the suspects tried to pull out his weapon. The PM then ended up reacting and firing shots at the alleged thief, who died at the scene.

“He entered the 600 with another man and shortly afterwards they both announced a robbery, it was at that moment that they noticed the presence of a police officer and even tried to stab him to death. Soon after, the victim reacted and hit this member who died, while the other escaped through a window,” said a passenger.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called and confirmed the subject's death.

However, the case will be monitored by the Amazonas Civil Police. The man's body was sent to the headquarters of the Legal Medical Institute (IML).

nah, the police officer has probably lost his job, the second shot with the guy lying down was completely unnecessary, he could let the population do the job and claim that he couldn't handle the revolt alone, but wanted to finish the guy on the ground...
