Or we could collectively hold the people we pay our tax dollars to carry guns to a higher standard and teach them to aim properly, fire at knife-weilding ppl's shins BEFORE they close the distance and have to be center-massed etc.
The quality of policing in North America in particular is fucking laughable, and that's coming from the son of a cop and a dispatcher.

There are about 100,000 police forces and agencies in the USA, and NONE of them teach their officers to shoot the person in the shins.
First of all, even with cops shooting at the middle of the body of the suspect, the cops only hit the bad guy about 20% of the time.
They would miss the shin 90 to 95% of the time - and I'm amazed that it never crossed your mind to think about the liability of where all those missed bullets hit.
Do you want the cops to hit yo mamma who is sitting in her kitchen because they missed the idiot in front of her house?
