The Civil Police of Goiás (PC-GO) announced that a 35-year-old man was arrested for trying to kill his ex-girlfriend in a beauty salon in Goiatuba, in the south of Goiás. Security camera footage filmed the suspect arriving at the scene and shooting at his ex (watch above).
The case happened last Tuesday morning (28) while the young woman was awaiting treatment, according to the police. The young woman was taken to the Municipal Hospital of Goiatuba and taken by helicopter to the Governador Otávio Lage de Siqueira State Emergency Hospital (Hugol). On TV Anhanguera, the unit reported that the young woman's health condition is normal and she is conscious.
A witness told the Military Police (PM) that the young woman reported that she was being threatened by the suspect and the day before the crime he attacked her with slaps and pushes.
PC-GO reported that security cameras recorded the moment the man fled in a vehicle. According to the institution, police officers found the vehicle abandoned and verified on other cameras that the person being investigated abandoned it and got into someone else's car to escape.
The man was found at a relative's house late Tuesday afternoon. With him was the weapon used in the crime and ammunition, according to police.
At the police station, accompanied by a lawyer, the suspect remained silent during the interrogation, according to PC-GO. The suspect was taken to the Prison Unit.
