The Civil Police (PC) is investigating whether the death of Glevisson Batista da Silva, aged 34, is related to the murder of Ivaldo da Silva, killed in Jacintinho two days earlier. Glevisson was shot dead last Saturday (1), on Rua Santa Fernanda, in the Jatiúca neighborhood, in Maceió.
According to the case's delegate, Arthur César, one of the lines of investigation is that Glevisson was the driver of the car that gave way to Ivaldo's killer, who died while buying coconut water at a stall. The crime was recorded by security cameras . Investigations into both crimes are ongoing .
Glevisson worked as an app driver. Relatives reported that he had left home to repair his car and was waiting for parts to be changed at a mechanic's workshop in Jatiúca, when two men on a motorcycle arrived and shot him around 20 times. A person passing by was hit by a stray bullet.
The driver had been receiving death threats since last year and had filed a Police Report (BO). In the police report, the man reported that he received calls from members of a criminal group that operates in the Feitosa neighborhood, close to the Pedro Teixeira State School. The threats said that he should not set foot in the Vale do Reginaldo region, otherwise he would be killed. Glevisson had already been arrested for drug trafficking in 2022.
