Why do security cameras have to be soo shity. I bet you they would have found out who did it fit this camera had better queality.

Photos of things that are over a billion miles away look better than this footage!

Agreed. Hw is nasa able to make a spacecraft that can clearly take photos of planets and galaxies light years away but normal tech companies can't make cameras good enough to take videos of people close by.

1. The light collecting apparatus for NASA telescopes is many orders of magnitude larger than a run-of-the-mill security camera

2. There is no atmosphere between the object and the telescope. Even a little bit of atmosphere is hugely detrimental (depending wavelength)

3. Space telescopes don't typically capture data in the visual spectrum. IR, Microwave, UV, etc are more common

4. Even the most advanced telescopes currently in orbit do not, in fact, 'clearly take photos of planets light years away'. Galaxies are much larger, easier to image.

5. NASA has basically any material substance mankind can create at their disposal and billions of dollars to acquire it for a single telescope, normal tech companies exist for mass production are restricted by market forces (profit margin, scalability, etc)

That's just off the top of my head.

Ye i know, but atleast these security cameras should have better quality. Its not like we humans don't have the technolagy for it.
