Businessman William Garz贸n Ojeda, son of former legislator William Garz贸n Ricaurte who died in January of this year, was murdered by hired assassins.
The crime occurred on Thursday afternoon, August 11, in Santo Domingo de los Ts谩chilas, 152 kilometers from Quito. Security cameras installed in the place recorded the attack that occurred around 15:22 when a white minicompact car stopped next to Garz贸n Ojeda, 29 years old, who was on the corner of Lorena Avenue.
Two men on board a motorcycle approached their victim from behind and one of them got off and shot Garz贸n Ojeda in the head, who fell a few seconds later. The killer fled on the same motorcycle and in the same direction he arrived. The minicompacto turned around and started its way in the opposite direction on the same Lorena Avenue.
Garz贸n Ojeda was taken to two hospitals and died in the second one. In the evening hours, the Ministry of the Interior confirmed the death of the son of the former deputy of the Alianza Pa铆s movement, William Garz贸n Ricaurte, who lost his life earlier this year in a confusing event that has not been clarified yet.
