Also forces providers of goods and services to keep their products reasonably affordable rather than banking on people using credit to make an unnecessarily large purchase.
I think it would help the market in the long run; there's just a lot of people who make a shit-fuck-tonne of money by doing nothing but moving money around who would lose lots of their business and would have to find something actually productive to do instead.
