A Venezuelan motorcycle 
taxi driver 
was shot dead with more than twenty gunshots by two hitmen in Puente Piedra who were arrested 
when they tried to escape. The weapons 
of a police 
officer 
murdered 
last year were seized from those arrested.
The crime occurred at the intersection of Margarita 
and Gandiolos streets in Puente Piedra , when Venezuelan Leonel José Hidalgo Linares was shot 20 times by one of his compatriots, who did not stop shooting 
him until he was sure that he was dead.
After being alerted by the crime, agents from the Terna group 
were able to capture 
the hitmen on the Panamericana Norte , identified as Ronald 
Hernandez Pereyra and Yorbish Vargas Landaeta, also Venezuelans.
Those intervened were seized with a firearm that belonged to second 
officer 
Cristian Kengy Olascuaga Cruz, murdered in May of last year, after resisting the theft 
of his motorcycle.
The investigations will determine if they are also involved 
in the death 
of police 
officer Olascagua. For now, they have already confessed their participation in the death 
of their compatriot.
During the interrogation, one of the detainees, after being asked 
the reason for the crime, only stated that he was “A Venezuelan, a scum of life, he is also Venezuelan.”
