I grew up in this area. It's a fucking cesspool. Best thing I ever did was move away. That place is so fucking abandoned and run down it slowly erodes your sanity and warps your perception of what's right and wrong.

You are surrounded by so many followers like this that perpetuate senseless violence for brownie points. It's the equivalent to making a fresh path through snow, IE it's easier to follow a path already made than to create a new one and if someone does create a new path it often naturally drifts and intersects.

I have lost all hope for the people in the area. I'll get off my soap box now lol.

I'd say yes. With the Bronx you can actually find pleasant areas although they are disappearing at a rapid rate. IMO Buffalo is worse because the entire city is just infested. The cancer is no longer hidden. It just continues to grow and destroy. Even with the population being extremely less than NYC or any of it's Burroughs individually.

If you ever want to visit NY go to Staten Island for best experience but don't set your hopes too high.
