It is. But really, at that distance, the chance of him hitting you with a pistol is very, very low.

Still, fucking stupid to take that chance. He could've been a lifelong marksman, extremely skilled, sees you filming, and decides "fuck that guy". And now you're shot, and for what- to get video of an event that is already being well-documented? Is this video going to change anything, help anyone?

I can make 100yd pistol shots on a 12”x18” steel target. This is within that range.
