*today i want to share the murder of a gutair legend,
dimebag darrell (aka darrell abott) from the band pantera
in this footage you can see the perpetrator shoot three people,
then a police officer shoots the man.
sorry the footage is so low quality this is from 2004
you can hear somebody in the background say “He killed Dimebag!”*

Nathan Gale, a deranged fan,[109] rushed onto the stage as the band played the first song of its setlist and shot Abbott multiple times with a Beretta 92FS, a 9mm semi-automatic pistol.[110] The band's head of security, Jeffrey "Mayhem" Thompson, then tackled Gale, but was fatally shot in the ensuing struggle. A fan, Nathan Bray, was also killed as he attempted to aid Abbott and Thompson, as was Erin Halk, an employee of the venue who tried to disarm Gale while he was reloading. Three others were wounded before Columbus police officer James Niggemeyer entered the club and shot Gale once in the head with a 12-gauge Remington Model 870, killing him."

What I find ironic is that there's video of him saying the n-word, yet the name of the officer who stopped the shooting was James Niggemeyer.

Any evidence for this? I'm a long time fan of Pantera who has watched countless videos and he always seems to be chilled as fuck with everybody.

Fair enough. That's kind of crazy I didn't hear about this till now. Funnily enough you can see down the thread he's saying the N word in this case to a white guy. Strange and disappointing.

Yeah he’s supposedly an extreme racist. I’ve seen that footage, he refused to sign a black man’s guitar under the condition of “if the n****r can play, I’ll sign his guitar”. I’m from the band’s local area, and lots of people know of countless racist stories of his. Ive unfortunately haven’t been in contact with the music scene for a while, but most people have had a racist encounter with the band unfortunately.
