A woman was shot dead Thursday (11/11), at her doorstep while nursing a child, in residential Dunas, Dirceu Arcoverde neighborhood, in Parnaíba.
The victim was identified as Maria Luíza and was nursing a child when a man approached and shot the woman who died at the scene several times.
The child was assisted by a team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) and referred to the Dirceu Arcoverde State Hospital (HEDA).
preliminary information is that the child, just over a year old, suffered a hand injury.
The place was isolated by the Military Police, which called the Criminal Forensics to carry out the necessary procedures at the crime scene.
There is still no information on what motivated the crime, nor the suspect's whereabouts. The Civil Police will investigate the case.
A team from the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) removed the victim's body to carry out an investigation.
