i think that once you commit a crime you should be immediately labeled an outlaw by society (outside of the law), meaning anyone can do anything they want to you, because since you broke the laws, then why should laws protect you.

Yes, the dude with the bat who entraps, threatens and assaults people with a bat over road rage is not someone who can credibly demand people respect his rights.
Yes, the guy shooting him has no moral obligation to show any concern for the bat man’s rights.
But I don’t think this gives anyone else a right to do “whatever” they want to him. His victim, yes. A bystander who witnesses what he did, yes. But I think it would end there. If the guy somehow got away at that point the state would be the one to get him and handle him objectively.
As a firearms instructor I can’t say this would be legal, this would for sure land you in prison if you did this in the states and claimed self-defense. But as a thinking man I can’t help but agree in part with you. The bat guy is a piece of shit and he got what he deserved. If I had been a jury on the shooter’s trial I would for sure lock that jury up and hope for a no-contest. He shouldn’t go to prison for doing society a favor.

The threat had already disengaged and was fleeing. He got shot from behind, and then the kill shot, all those shots would have been considered illegal.
As an interesting side note in his defense he could have argued temporary insanity or something along those lines for those few shots to the back as the threat ran away.
But there’s simply no way to defend the final shots to the head.
Again, I don’t necessarily think he did anything morally wrong, and I don’t blame him for doing what he did, but legally it’s a different issue. Morality and legality don’t always coincide.
