Inwood, Manhattan -- A 16-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection to a deadly shooting outside a subway station in upper Manhattan.
Police said Wednesday that the teenager was arrested late Tuesday night and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
The shooting happened near the steps of the 207th Street subway station in Inwood just before midnight.
Two men were killed and a third man was also shot but survived. None of the victims are believed to have been the intended targets.
James Michael, 44, was shot in the face and pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital.
Alejandro Ramirez, 45, was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital. He was shot while walking home after his shift at Pizza Palace.
A memorial is growing in the neighborhood where he worked for 30 years, including the last decade where he worked at the pizzeria.
Now his community is left in shock, remembering him as a wonderful man and hard worker.
Ramirez is survived by a 24-year-old son and his co-workers are organizing a GoFundMe to help pay for funeral expenses.
The motive is believed to linked to ongoing marijuana sales at the location.

Louis De Zoysa, 25, is accused of fatally shooting Sergeant Matt Ratana with an antique revolver at a custody centre in Croydon, south London, on 25 September 2020.
De Zoysa's murder trial was shown footage comprised of a body-cam recording and CCTV which shows the accused being stopped and searched on London Road, Norbury, south London.
It then jumps to the moments before Sergeant Ratana was fatally shot just after 2am, before cutting to immediately after, with De Zoysa being wrestled to the floor by two officers.
The video shows the gun being kicked away by the officers.
The jury at Northampton Crown Court was shown the footage in full on Wednesday and Thursday.
Jury members were also allowed to fire the gun allegedly used in the attack.
Anthony Miller, a forensic scientist, explained the gun was loaded with dummy bullets made of plastic and that it was completely safe to be used in the courtroom.
Members of the jury aimed the weapon at the ceiling while it was being fired.
Mr Miller said the gun did not go off during his own rigorous test of the weapon.
Suspect 'hid gun under one of his armpits'
De Zoysa, who was 23 at the time of the shooting, was still handcuffed when Sergeant Ratana was shot.
Prosecutors said he deliberately fired the weapon into the officer's chest without warning, after likely concealing the revolver and a holster "under one of his armpits".
The gun had not been discovered during the stop-and-search before he was taken to the custody block.
The first two shots hit Sergeant Ratana, the third struck a wall during a struggle with officers, and a fourth hit De Zoysa in the neck.
De Zoysa has denied murder.

Cartagena, Colombia
A 30-year-old man identified as Carlos Contreras Pacheco was murdered by a hitman who attacked him with a firearm when he was in a store in the San José de los Campanos neighborhood, in the south of Cartagena.
According to witnesses, the deceased was sitting in a plastic chair talking with a woman. From one moment to the next, an unknown subject would have arrived who, without saying a word, pulled out a firearm and shot at his humanity.
Contreras Pacheco received several bullets that ended his life immediately, while the murderer fled the scene on a motorcycle that was waiting for him a few meters from the store.
Panic took over the area and according to some videos circulating on social networks, the woman accompanying him was crying inconsolably over Carlos' death.
The Police indicated that the deceased presents a judicial note as being accused of violence against a public servant.

A man, who has not yet been identified, was shot dead in the early hours of Sunday (16) in the São Bento neighborhood, in the west of Boa Vista. The crime took place in front of a bar on Colibri Street. No arrests were made.
According to the Military Police, a team was called to respond to the case at around 5:44 am and when they arrived at the scene, they found the man lying on the ground, already dead. The victim was not carrying any identification documents.
Since it was a homicide, the police cordoned off the scene and then called the Technical Expertise of the Civil Police and the team from the General Homicide Division (DGH). After the expert work, the victim's body was removed to the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML).
The case will be investigated by the Civil Police in order to elucidate the circumstances, motivations and authorship of the crime.

Conforme a Polícia Militar, uma equipe foi acionada por volta das 5h44 para atender o caso e quando chegou ao local, encontrou o homem caído no chão, já sem vida. A vítima não portava documento de identificação.
Por se tratar de homicídio, os policiais fizeram o isolamento do local e, em seguida, acionaram a Perícia Técnica da Polícia Civil e a equipe da Delegacia Geral de Homicídios (DGH). Após os trabalhos periciais, o corpo da vítima foi removido para o Instituto de Medicina Legal (IML).
O caso será investigado pela Polícia Civil, a fim de elucidar as circunstâncias, as motivações e a autoria do c
rime.
